|More than 60 mentors and mentees of the MBA Elite Mentorship Program (EMP) celebrated the Year of the Rooster over dinner at the Serenade Chinese Restaurant located at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre on 24 February.
Kicking off this annual gathering of elite mentors and the current full-time MBA cohort, Prof. Kalok Chan, Business School Dean, welcomed the evening’s guests and shared with them the latest developments from the Business School. “I take this opportunity to thank our mentors for their long-standing devotion, making the EMP a special characteristic of our MBA Programs,” he said. “You are exemplary models, not only showing our students how far they can reach, but demonstrating how to get there.” Prof. Chan also encouraged the students to capitalise on the benefits of the EMP. “Reach out to your mentors, who are business leaders in various professions and industries. The more you connect with your mentors, the more you can get from the EMP.”
Complementing the delicious food was a fun-filled programme that added a colourful note to the festivities. Students from abroad were delighted by the presence of the God of Fortune, who shared auspicious lai see packets for the entertainment of all. The warmth and friendship on display in the group photo truly captured the close bond between the EMP’s mentors and mentees.
On behalf of the Alumni and Corporate Affairs Office, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our fellow alumni for taking on the role of elite mentors both past and present. We would also like to send our appreciation to the MBA Career Management Center for putting together this memorable event.
