A World-class Business School in Asia

As the oldest business school in Hong Kong, we have been at the forefront of business education in the city since offering the first BBA program in 1963. Continuing this pioneering example, we launched the first full-time MBA program in 1966, the first part-time MBA program in 1977 and the first EMBA program in 1993. Both regionally and globally, the CUHK Business School has established a reputation as an outstanding academic institution.

The CUHK Business School comprises two schools ‒ Accountancy and Hotel & Tourism Management – and four departments: Finance, Decision Sciences & Managerial Economics, Management, and Marketing. The Cheng Yu Tung Building opened in the summer of 2010 to provide a more advanced teaching environment alongside state-of-the-art facilities.

With a commitment to nurturing business leaders who possess a global vision for the Asian Century, the CUHK Business School has inspired over 30,000 alumni in the past 50 years, many of whom are now key business leaders. We have also achieved the impressive feat of developing the largest business school alumni network in Asia.

Today, the CUHK Business School offers ten undergraduate programs and 31 postgraduate programs. These include ten MBA and EMBA degrees, 15 MA, MSc and MPhil degrees and six PhD degrees. In the 2013/2014 academic year, we enrolled more than 4,000 full-time and part-time students.

Introducing the 'CUHK Business School Development Fund'

The CUHK Business School relies on the generous support of individuals and corporations to sustain and grow its leading teaching and research programs, diverse student activities, empowering scholarship schemes, and state-of-the-art facilities. A new 'CUHK Business School Development Fund' has been set up to help develop the Business School and cultivate the best business minds of tomorrow for Hong Kong, China and the world.

The 'CUHK Business School Development Fund' provides an essential resource for the Business School to ensure that our excellence continues and that we are able to better the lives of future generations. All development fund proceeds will go to support the Business School in concrete ways:

‧Teaching and research

‧Student activities

‧Scholarship and awards

Our vision is clear and ambitious – to develop global business leaders for the Asian Century

In fact, the CUHK Business School is quickly expanding its influence across the border with CUHK taking a historical step as the first university in Hong Kong to open a new campus in China – CUHK (Shenzhen) – located in Longgang District, Shenzhen. Preparation is well underway and this new 100-hectare (one-million-square-metre) campus will extend CUHK’s world-leading educational services to the Greater China region. The CUHK Business School will be among the first faculties offering a range of  programs, with enrolment starting in September 2014.
