Hong Kong’s red-hot property market has always been a topic of much discussion and debate. And “The Outlook for the Property Market and Property Stocks in Hong Kong" talk, co-organised by the BBA Alumni Association and the Alumni Association of Postgraduates in Economics of CUHK on 30 July, was no different.
The talk, which was part of the Global Economic Affairs Talk Series, was led by guest speaker Ms. Joyce Kwock, a BBA graduate and Head of Hong Kong Property Research at Nomura International (Hong Kong) Limited. With more than a decade’s experience in equity research, Ms. Kwock is renowned for her differentiated bottom up analysis on various sub-sectors of the property market as well as her expertise in key blue-chip stocks. During the 1-hour presentation, she shared her views on the current outlook of the residential, commercial and retail markets. She also introduced trusted techniques for selecting property stocks to invest in.
Participants found the talk highly valuable as it helped them better understand the equity market in Hong Kong. “I learned a great deal from Ms. Kwock’s insightful presentation,” said Raymond Lo, President of the BBA Alumni Association. “We will continue to organise talks on useful topics for fellow alumni and friends.”
