Over a hundred Business School alumni gather in Shanghai to chart the future of AI
Shanghai set the stage for a dazzling start to 2026 as CUHK Business School hosted its first alumni gathering of the year on 10 January. More than a hundred alumni reunited in the city, joining Professor Zhou Lin, dean of CUHK Business School, Professor Vernon Hsu, director of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Programme, Professor George Yang, director of the School of Accountancy, and Professor Liao Ming, Department of Decisions, Operations and Technology. Moderated by Professor Vernon Hsu, the dialogue unfolded under the theme “The AI Imperative: Redefining Growth in China”. Speakers explored how artificial intelligence is driving innovation, reshaping competitiveness, and influencing investment strategies across industries, and collectively envisioned a bold new blueprint for China’s economy in the age of AI.
