Global Economy Talk Series: Global Stock Market under High Interest Rate

Since the rate hike in 2022, the interest rate has been a fundamental factor to the global stock market. In 2023, Hong Kong and Chinese stock market has underperformed the US and overseas stock market. Would the trend continue? Or would it be a time to buy Hong Kong and Chinese Stock market at dip?

The BBA Alumni Association of the Chinese University of Hong Kong is honoured to have invited Mr. Patrick Yiu, Managing Director of Hantec Wealth Management, to share his thoughts on the global stock market.

Mr. Yiu is an alumnus of B.S.Sc in Economics of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has over 20 years of experience in investment and asset management. He previously served as senior management positions in research and asset management departments of various listed companies in Hong Kong. He is also a frequent guest speaker and columnist for major media and online platforms, prominent newspapers and magazines in Hong Kong , e.g. TVB, Economic Journal and Economic Digest etc.
