AA Series | CUBBA Alumni Association: Connecting alumni, giving back to alma mater

The CUHK BBA Alumni Association (CUBBA AA) recently held its Annual General Meeting, electing a new executive committee. We invited Dicky Tse (IBBA 2009), president of the Alumni Association, to share his vision and plans in the coming year, aiming to encourage more active participation from BBA alumni in this thriving community.
Dialogue with the President – Dicky Tse (IBBA 2009)
Q1. Can you give a brief introduction of yourself?
I graduated from the Integrated Bachelor of Business Administration (IBBA) at CUHK in 2009. My career began in financial media before transitioning into asset management. Along the way, I have been fortunate to receive invaluable guidance and support from fellow alumni, helping me navigate challenges in both my career and personal life. Their selfless contributions have allowed me to truly experience the warmth of our alumni network. That is why I am committed to furthering this legacy through the Alumni Association, ensuring more alumni and students can benefit from these meaningful connections.
Q2. What is the vision and plan for the CUBBA Alumni Association in the coming year?
We have always been proactive in organising diverse events, including insightful talks and Happy Hour gatherings co-hosted with other alumni associations and organisations. Moving forward, we aim to create even more opportunities for BBA alumni to engage in cross-generational and interdisciplinary exchanges, not only with fellow CUHK graduates but also with professionals beyond our immediate network. These interactions will broaden perspectives, foster connections across different industries, and introduce knowledge beyond the business realm.
Q3. What role do you think CUBBA AA will play within the wider alumni community?
The alumni I am personally acquainted with are eager to give back to their alma mater and society, yet many of them are unsure where to start. This is where CUBBA AA serves as an essential platform—bridging alumni with one another, connecting them with the alma mater, and linking them to the wider community. While an individual’s impact may be limited, collective action among like-minded alumni can create far-reaching and meaningful difference.
Q4. Do you have any message for BBA alumni?
CUHK alumni share a truly unique bond, and our community is filled with talented individuals. We wholeheartedly invite you to join our alumni events—reconnect with old classmates, exchange insights with fellow alumni, and build new friendships. These interactions not only open doors to endless opportunities but also enrich our lives with inspiration and unexpected discoveries.
Join our BBA alumni family today by filling out the membership application form—we look forward to seeing you at our next event!
