Future Plans Charted at Alumni Associations Town Hall

CUHK Business School’s annual Alumni Associations (AAs) Town Hall was concluded earlier in Hong Kong on 27 August. For the first time in two years, following the travel ban during the pandemic, council members of AAs, both based in and outside of Hong Kong, came together in person. This momentous gathering saw a remarkable turnout, with notable participation from representatives of AAs across the Greater China region. They joined hands in mapping new plans to foster the growth and advancement of the CUHK Business School alumni community in the upcoming year.

Before the Town Hall meeting, a tea reception was held for council members to exchange views on alumni affairs and discuss their future development with Prof. Lin Zhou, Dean of CUHK Business School.

The annual meeting commenced with a brief introduction of each AA, facilitating acquaintance among attendees following recent changes in some committee positions.

In his welcome speech, Prof. Lin Zhou extended gratitude towards the dedication of AA council members. Subsequently, multiple group photos were captured to commemorate the occasion.

A vibrant and amiable atmosphere pervaded the occasion thanks to a slew of ice-breaking games arranged by the Alumni Office.

The event continued with an engaging group discussion, where AAs were paired up to explore collaborative opportunities in order to better serve their respective alumni communities in the coming year. During the sharing session, representatives from all AAs expressed excitement and optimism about expediting the successful realisation of their proposed initiatives.

The Town Hall concluded with a luncheon, providing an opportunity for further exchanges and networking among the attendees.

Once again, the Alumni Office of CUHK Business School would like to expressed heartfelt gratitude to all AAs for their support, notably representatives from Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Taiwan who came all the way to Hong Kong. We look forward to working closely together in the year ahead with all AAs to drive the development of the alumni community as a whole.
