The upcoming CUHK EMBA Alumni Sharing & Info Session will highlight the diverse and transformative experiences of its alumni. The sharing session will showcase how the EMBA programme is instrumental in shaping the personal goals and careers of its executive participants.
Our distinguished alumni Mr. Alan Lai (EMBA 2017), Ms. Theresa Tang (EMBA 2019) and Mr. Alan Chung (EMBA 2020) will share about how they were able to apply the knowledge gained from the Programme to real-world scenarios, and how the practical aspects of management were emphasised in the curriculum. They will also speak of the strong sense of community and collaboration fostered among the alumni community, which have been helping them expand their networks and gain insights from professional executives across different industries.

Mr. Alan Lai (EMBA 2017)

Pet Space Group
Alan Lai is the CEO of Pet Space Group, Hong Kong’s largest veterinary group with 11 hospitals in Hong Kong and a flagship hospital in Singapore. He implemented a unique approach called “Medutainment” in the local veterinary industry to support pets and pet owners through medical care, education, and entertainment. Alan has over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry in Hong Kong SAR, China, and Europe. He was previously the Executive Director for GRS Health Services (Greater China), a start-up rehabilitation chain in China, and co-founded The CLINIC medical aesthetics in Hong Kong. Alan was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year 2017 by the Capital Magazine of the South China Group. He is also the Vice President of the CUHK EMBA Alumni association and serves on the Membership Committee of The Hong Kong Institute of Directors.

Theresa Tang is a dynamic and results-driven sales strategist with over 20 years of experience in strategic sales planning, brand positioning, and business development. She has a proven track record of driving double-digit revenue growth and providing visionary sales leadership in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Theresa is tenacious in building new business, securing customer loyalty, and forging strong relationships with business partners. She is an exceptional mentor and coach, combining business acumen with innate leadership abilities to recruit, build, and retain top-performing sales and marketing teams. Theresa is currently the Head of Business at Maxim’s Cakes & Other subsidiary Brands, and has previously held leadership positions at adidas (Hong Kong) Limited and Moiselle (China) Limited.
Mr. Alan Chung (EMBA 2020)

Alan Chung is currently the Chief Information Officer of Dah Chong Hong Group, responsible for the management of the technology business and digital transformation in the Group. Mr. Chung has extensive experience in driving IT strategy and large-scale IT & digital transformation. Prior joining Dah Chong Hong, he has held multiple senior IT leadership roles managing Asia region in international companies. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Science degree, and a Master of Philosophy degree in Computer Science and a EMBA degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
