New Cohort of Global Alumni Ambassadors on Board to Strengthen Connections Among Alumni Worldwide

    CUHK Business School highly values its global alumni network with over 40,000 members across 49 regions. Since the launch of the Global Alumni Ambassador (GAA) Programme by the Alumni Office in 2021, it has facilitated over a hundred alumni engagements across the globe. Recently, a new cohort of Global Alumni Ambassadors official assumed their roles, injecting a fresh and invigorating spirit into the community.

    The second cohort of GAAs has garnered enthusiastic participation from alumni from 26 countries or regions across six continents. Over the course of their two-year tenure, the 83 GAAs will collaborate closely with the School to actively support and connect with local alumni in their locality, fostering a stronger alumni network.

    The online inauguration ceremony for the GAA 23/25 cohort was successfully held in early August. Professor Lin Zhou, the Dean of CUHK Business School, shared words of encouragement during the event, while representatives from the Alumni Office presented the programme’s vision and provided detailed arrangements.

    During the event, Carol Chan (IBBA 2006), a GAA from the United Kingdom who continues her role in the new batch, shared her experiences and insights from the past two years. At first, she had reservations about reaching out to local alumni, but as she connected with them, her concerns were gradually eased by their warmth and receptiveness. She encouraged the new GAAs to make the most of the available resources, take courageous steps, and embrace the two-year GAA journey with enthusiasm.
