Q1. Could you briefly describe your current job scope or responsibilities?

My core responsibilities revolve around delivering comprehensive tax solutions and ensuring compliance from a mutual fund administration perspective. I take charge of managing distributions for registered investment companies, helping clients optimise their operations and meet the needs of their investors effectively.

Q2. Please describe Toronto in three words.

Dynamic, diverse, and thriving.

Toronto constantly evolves with a fast-paced and innovative entrepreneurial culture, marked by a rich diversity of people from various backgrounds and nationalities contributing to a vibrant and inclusive business community. The city’s flourishing, robust, and resilient economy attracts national and international investments, making it a prime location for growth and success.

Q3. Which industry do you see as having strong business potential in Toronto?

Toronto’s Asset Management industry holds significant potential, buoyed by its strategic location next to the United States. The city’s proximity to the world’s largest economy provides access to a vast pool of investors, institutional clients, and financial markets. This advantageous geographical position allows Toronto-based asset managers to tap into US opportunities, facilitate cross-border investments, and strengthen their presence, establishing the city as a significant financial centre.

Q4. What is the one thing you miss the most during your study at CUHK Business School?

One thing I miss the most in Business School is building meaningful connections with my peers. Balancing our studies along with full-time work made it challenging to find time to socialise outside the classroom. However, we still managed to explore culinary experiences together in different cities, which is a delightful way to unwind. These shared adventures not only offer a break from the rigour but also strengthen our friendship and cultural understanding, making our business education experience even more enriching.
