GAA News | New cohort of Global Alumni Ambassadors inaugurated to strengthen overseas alumni network

CUHK Business School takes pride in its vibrant community of over 45,000 alumni across 49 countries and regions worldwide. In addition to local alumni associations, Global Alumni Ambassadors (GAAs) play a pivotal role in connecting fellow alumni overseas. The newly appointed cohort has officially begun their tenure, with 84 alumni from 29 countries and regions committed to broadening and deepening CUHK Business School’s global alumni network. Since its inception in 2021, the GAA programme has facilitated hundreds of alumni interactions across the globe. The latest cohort (2025–27) has drawn enthusiastic participation from alumni across 29 countries and regions spanning five continents. New additions to the network include Cambodia, the Netherlands, Belgium, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, and Honduras. In the coming term, GAAs will continue to serve as vital bridges between CUHK Business School and alumni worldwide, fostering meaningful connections and expanding the reach of our global network. The online inauguration ceremony for the 2025-27 cohort took place in late July. Professor Zhou Lin, dean of CUHK Business School, delivered opening remarks to commend and encourage the new appointees, followed by a presentation from the Alumni Office team outlining the programme’s vision and details. Macao-based GAA Winson Wong (EMBA 2020) was invited to share his experiences from the past four years as GAA. He spoke on how he had successfully engaged with local alumni and organised activities that strengthened community ties. During the session, participants actively exchanged views and raised questions, creating a lively and collegial atmosphere that brought the event to a warm conclusion. Entering its third cohort, the GAA programme has engaged more than 160 overseas alumni as GAAs to date. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all former GAAs for their commitment and invaluable support, and look forward to working closely with the new cohort to continue building a strong global alumni community.
