Dialogue with the president – Peter Yeung (MBA 2014)
Q1. Can you give a brief introduction of yourself?
I work in project management within the financial services industry, focusing on digital transformation and strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. My experience spans across transport, retail, and gaming, where I have been involved in business and technology-driven assignments.
Beyond my professional career and alumni involvement, I actively serve in community and government advisory roles.
Q2. What are MBA AA’s vision and plans for 2024/25?
Founded in 1997, MBA AA has united alumni across all MBA programmes for 28 years, fostering networking, collaboration, and lifelong connections.
Besides regular networking, sports, and charity events, our Elite Mentorship Programme links current MBA students with senior industry leaders, enhancing their leadership and personal development through CUHK MBA’s extensive network.
Looking ahead, we will continue to strengthen alumni engagement through various initiatives, while also laying the groundwork for the signature Gala Dinner in 2026 with the MBA office, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the programme.
Q3. What role do you think the MBA AA plays within the wider alumni community?
MBA Programmes develop versatile leaders equipped for complex challenges. As an alumni association, we act as a strategic connector, fostering a network of networks that brings together alumni from different industries and backgrounds.
Through our involvement in The Federation of Alumni Associations (FAA) and The Federation of Graduate School Alumni Associations (FGSAA), we strengthen ties within the CUHK community, while also actively engaging with sister universities in Hong Kong and overseas, expanding connections and opportunities for our alumni.
Q4. Do you have any messages for MBA alumni?
With over 4,200 members, MBA AA is a thriving network for the CUHK MBA community. We encourage you to join us by completing the membership application form – we look forward to welcoming you in our upcoming events!
