Alumni Office Relaunches Industry Luncheon to Bring Networking Opportunities and Inspiration

After a temporary halt due to the challenging pandemic situation, the Alumni Industry Luncheon returned on 23 June with some 80 alumni turning out at Island Shangri-la, Hong Kong for a vibrant exchange.

The event, centred on accounting and finance, tapped Ms Anita Hou, Partner of Forensic and Investigation Services, ShineWing Hong Kong; and Mr Kurkye Wong, Executive Director of Argyle Street Management Limited, as guest speakers in a mini-panel discussion on forensic accounting, its development, the roles played by external and internal auditors, and litigation funding, with Prof Wan Wongsunwai, Associate Professor of Accounting, as the moderator.

The discussion was met with questions from the eager audience whose enthusiasm for the emerging industry was palpable. The vigorous exchange continued well into the afternoon, bringing this in-person networking and exchange event to a successful conclusion.
