CUHK Business School boasts a dynamic global alumni network. Last August, the Alumni Office launched the second edition of the Global Alumni Ambassador (GAA) Programme, successfully attracting 83 alumni from 26 diverse regions across six continents to participate. As key representatives of the Business School, GAAs facilitate connections with alumni residing outside of Hong Kong — an especially significant initiative for those in areas without the presence of the School’s alumni associations.

Recently, GAAs reconvened online for the annual Town Hall, where they shared valuable experiences and insights. This gathering not only celebrated their accomplishments but also laid the groundwork for an exciting new chapter in the year ahead.

83 GAAs foster connections among alumni worldwide as proud representatives of CUHK Business School.

The Town Hall event commenced with representatives from the Alumni Office sharing recent updates of the Business School and expressing heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering commitment and dedication of the GAAs. Over the past year, GAAs have facilitated more than a hundred alumni engagements, both online and offline, with half of these interactions occurring face-to-face. Notably, many overseas alumni have proactively reached out to them to connect with local alumni communities.

Two GAAs, Fion Wan (PACC 2002) (top) and Wang Yikang (MScITM 2012) (below) shared their experience and exchanged thoughts with their fellow peers at the Town Hall.

During the occasion, Fion Wan (PACC 2002), based in New York, shared her enthusiasm for organising the first local alumni gathering with two fellow GAAs. This gathering provided a wonderful opportunity for alumni to savour dim sum while reminiscing about their cherished CUHK experiences. As organisers, they are now in the process of planning their next event. In Australia, Wang Yikang (MScITM 2012) discussed his innovative use of various online channels to engage with local alumni, aiming to build and strengthen the community. The event concluded on a high note, filled with laughter and camaraderie.
