AA News | Annual AA Town Hall in Shenzhen: Advancing synergy among alumni associations
The annual Alumni Associations (AA) Town Hall for CUHK Business School concluded on 31 August in Shenzhen. As the first AA Town Hall held outside of Hong Kong, it achieved a remarkable turnout from council members from more than 10 AAs from different programmes and different locations, who were joined by Professor Zhou Lin, dean of CUHK Business School, for a fruitful exchange. The gathering commenced at the CUHK Shenzhen Research Institute (SZRI) with a morning session aimed at fostering understanding among council members of various alumni associations. In his welcome address, Professor Zhou expressed heartfelt gratitude for the dedication and support of the AA council members, setting a positive tone for the day. Following his remarks, the Alumni Office orchestrated a series of ice-breaking activities to foster connections among council members from diverse regions and programmes in a casual and fun way. Attendees were fully engaged, contributing to a vibrant ambiance. To provide further insight into the developments and resources at the SZRI, Dr Lin Huangquan, executive dean of the SZRI, delivered an in-depth presentation. He also led a guided tour that showcased pioneering initiatives and facilities at SZRI, offering valuable insights for the council members. The group then proceeded to a hotel for luncheon and discussion. AAs were grouped to further explore potential collaboration and new directions to enhance opportunities for the alumni community. Once again, the Alumni Office of CUHK Business School would like to express heartfelt gratitude to all AAs for their unwavering support to the event. We look forward to working closely together in the year ahead with all AAs to foster a stronger alumni community.
