Alumni Joyfully Gathered at Year End to Bond and Celebrate
As the year of 2022 is drawing to a close, Business School Alumni Associations (AAs) brought alumni together over some joyful gatherings to unwind and celebrate this festive season. The Federation Graduate School Alumni Associations of the CUHK, a new union formulated by nine relevant AAs (including four from the Business School), also hosted an inauguration ceremony with the presence of honourable guests and members of the community.
The Inauguration Ceremony and Dinner of the Federation Graduate School Alumni Associations of the CUHK (the Federation) was successfully concluded on 14 December at the Courtyard by Marriott Hong Kong Sha Tin. Officiated by Mr. Paul Chan (BBA 1977, MBA 1984), GBM, GBS, MH, JP, Financial Secretary of the HKSAR Government and Prof. Rocky S. Tuan, Vice-Chancellor and President of the CUHK, it also welcomed a wide presence of committee members from the MBA, EMBA, MScITM and OneMBA AAs. The Federation is committed to forge collective efforts to drive stronger support and sense of belonging among the alumni community towards CUHK.
On the other hand, thanks to the invitation of Kai Tak Sports Park, members of MBA AA had the opportunity to take a sneak peek at the sports park in December alongside Social Seed, a local social enterprise which promotes sports for all, to grow business acumen in the MBA community. Valuable thoughts were exchanged during the ensuing discussions.
EMBA AA threw a Christmas party for alumni and students in early December at the Royal HK Yacht Club under the theme “Bling Empire”. Participated by over 140 guests, it offered the perfect occasion for alumni across different generations to catch-up, mingle and network while indulging in the spectacular skyline of the Victoria Harbour. Dozens lucky draw prizes and Best Dress Awards were given out to the lucky ones, and the event was concluded on a high note.
In Shenzhen, the EMBA (Chinese) AA also organised a hike for alumni at the Maluan Mountain to seize the season. Alumni immersed themselves in nature with their families and spent great time together.
Here’s to a prosperous new year with more get-togethers and new heights!
