Q1. Please briefly describe your current job responsibilities and describe your life in your residing city?
Miranda: I mainly assist in cash flow management for each operating hotel asset. I am also required to prepare the operational planning, corporate strategic planning as well as different merger and acquisition scenarios.
Dennis: I assist in short term and long term corporate planning, all business performance analysis, especially for interim and annual announcements.
We would say Dubai is a fast-developing, multinational and multicultural city with many different people in more than 200 nationalities. Dubai has seen its dramatic changes in the past two decades. We are proud to witness all of its positive changes and improvements.
Q2. What is the one thing you miss the most during your study in CUHK Business School, and that you might look forward to doing again?
Miranda: During my studies at CUHK Business School, I miss the CU Library. I spent most of my time at the Library until it closed every night before the exam! CU campus is a quiet and peaceful place for the students. Even though it was harsh, it was a wonderful experience with many unforgettable memories.
Q3. What did you learn in CUHK Business School which has impacted your life?
Dennis: Studying at CUHK Business School helped me master the skills that prepare us for real-world job responsibilities, and the reputation of CUHK Business School helped me to seize different job opportunities.
Q4. Which industry do you see strong business potential in your residing country and for any reason?
In the UAE, we can see a strong business potential and growth path in the logistic industry. Contributed by the generous investment and effective strategic planning from the UAE government, it provides the excellent infrastructure and technology advancement to the logistic industry. Together with its advantageous geographical location, it facilitates its development of logistics hubs for both domestic and cross-border trade.
