Business School Alumni Recognised for Giving Back to Alma Mater

Over the years, CUHK Business School has been dedicated to nurturing talents in the business sector, with its alumni contributing to society in different capacities while perpetuating the spirit of CUHK, notably through efforts to give back to their alma mater.

On 16 December last year, an appreciation ceremony was held by the Alumni Office at the Cheng Yu Tung Building in CUHK campus to recognise alumni’s contribution to CUHK Business School in the academic year of 2021-22, the first to be held after the hiatus caused by the pandemic. Over 70 alumni across programmes, industries, and generations came together to celebrate the brilliant prospect of the School buttressed by strong support from alumni.

The passion harboured in the hearts of alumni for their alma mater has yet to lose its shine over the past few years despite the pandemic. Their staunch support, in our mentorship programmes and alumni associations, or in terms of donations and internship/ job opportunities for students, helps sustain the momentum for CUHK Business School to grow and build resilience. At the ceremony, Prof Lin Zhou, Dean of CUHK Business School, extended gratitude towards the alumni concerned and delivered certificates of appreciation to them with programme directors. Coinciding with the 60th anniversary of CUHK and the Business School, the ceremony also offered a preview of an impressive array of celebration activities.

Alumni enjoyed a cosy moment at the reception afterwards. Following a two-year hiatus, this get-together returned in real life with enthusiastic response. Attending alumni mingled joyously, adding lustre to the event.

CUHK Business School looks forward to joining hands with its alumni to scale new heights as its enters the 60th year, and extend the legacy for another 60 years and more.
